Turpentine cough ointment is a unique natural remedy with anti-inflammatory and irritant properties, which can be purchased at any pharmacy. The medicine is produced in tubes, glass jars of various sizes.
Composition and properties
Zhivichny turpentine – the main active ingredient of the ointment (thanks to him, it has a specific smell). 20% of the composition – turpentine oil, in addition, the fatty basis of a therapeutic agent – petroleum jelly.

Cough Turpentine is used externally as a rubbing. So, doctors recommend that children older than 2 years and adult patients in the initial stages of colds or ORVI 1-2 times a day apply a small amount of ointment on the chest and back.
It is possible to use compositions with turpentine only if the patient has not raised body temperature. In addition, it is not recommended to apply ointment to the heart area.

- on the chest turpentine applied only to children older than 2 years and adult patients.
This is an alternative method of applying turpentine oil (for example, when skin irritation has occurred). So, add 3 grams of turpentine ointment to the bowl with hot water, let it dissolve.
